I partnered with SEIU Local 721’s African American Caucus to create the event branding for their 2017 Juneteenth celebration.
Honoring African American history and culture
Inspired by the African textiles decorating the event, I used hand drawn elements and vibrant colors filled with energy to reflect the event as a celebration of African American culture and history.
The combination of strong typography, a rich color story inspired by the textiles of the event, and expressive imagery visually embody the theme.
